About This Course
In a world where software development drives innovation across all sectors, mastering Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) has become an essential skill for designing robust, maintainable, and scalable applications.
This course introduces the fundamental principles of Object-Oriented Programming using Java, one of the most widely used programming languages in both industry and academia. Through practical examples and programming exercises, learners will discover how real-world problems can be modeled using objects and how software can be developed following modern programming practices.
Structured into two modules, Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming and Java Programming Basics, this course will enable you to:
- Develop a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts of OOP, including classes, objects, attributes, and methods.
- Understand and apply the four core principles of Object-Oriented Programming: encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction.
- Master the basics of the Java programming language, including variables, data types, operators, and control structures.
- Design and implement simple Java programs using methods, classes, and objects.
- Adopt a problem-solving approach based on object-oriented analysis and design.
- Build a strong foundation for advanced studies in software engineering and application development.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to design simple object-oriented applications in Java and apply essential programming techniques that are widely used in modern software development.
Target Audience: This course is intended for second-year Computer Science students (MI2) and anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of Object-Oriented Programming with Java.
